Beginning of 2020

Installation of the first experimental plastic to fuel plant with Italian technology in Italy, depending on the positive outcome of the authorization process.

Today

Implementation, at full industrial level, of in-house developed innovative technologies, in the circular economy environment.

2017

Creation of GRT Italia and GRT Britannia to expand activities in Italy and UK.
World first integrated Formic Acid Fuel Cell demonstration unit developed in Grt labs and proved as efficient electricity production system.

2016

Acquisition of 35% of PROIL, continuously developing advancements in the PtF technology.

2014

Strengthening of financial position with new shareholders, who contributed to directly finance industrial operations and processing of non-recyclable waste materials projects.

2007

Design and construction of Plastic to fuel development unit.

2004

Reinforcement of engineering capabilities in order to be able to provide innovative industrial solutions in the field of pollution and waste management.

1971

Company Foundation by Dr. Alain Jenny as an R&D group, focusing on industrial application of innovative processes developed in research laboratories at EPFL and other universities.

Read moreAlain holds a PhD degree in Engineering (Physics) at EPFL, Lausanne, and a Business Management training at Harvard Business School, Boston. Active at first in process and product development, he then held senior management positions in large international companies (Nestlé Switzerland and US, Tupperware Europe) and General Manager positions in medium size industrial companies. He joined GRT GROUP in 2005, when he was in charge of the industrial development of various technologies, before becoming CEO and president of the board in 2010. Today, he is Chairman of the Group.

He was Chairman of Electro Power Systems (Euronext Paris). He was Managing Director E.ON Italia, E.ON Energia, and Enel Energia, Board member AMGA, Head of Marketing ENEL, Business Development director Coopers & Lybrand Consulting, assistant of managing director and business developer of Techint (Tenaris Group) and CTIP, project manager P&G EU HQ. He was head of the Far East desk of Istituto Affari Internazionali. Today he is CEO of GRT Group, board member and president of the Nominee Committee of Terna Spa and ct. professor at MBA Luiss, Rome.

Read moreMaurizio holds a Master in Mechanical Engineering and has more than 30 years’ experience in the engineering sector and in the management of industrial plants. He was initially Plant Director, then General Director in medium-large companies and he has experience as technical consultant. Maurizio held General Director, President and CEO positions at Metalsistem S.p.A. He is currently a Member Council at Gerson Lehrman Group for consulting activities. He joined GRT in 2018 as CEO of GRT Italia.

As previous professional experience she was auditor for Deloitte, Finance Director for Servirail Italia-Newrest Group and Manager for PwC Advisory, where she gained 10 years’ experience working for international groups such as Siemens, Daimler Chrysler and Pirelli. She participated in IPOs for the Italian Stock Exchange and was a trainer at Pisa University for the Postgraduate Master in Internal Controls.

He was responsible for projects such as the development and qualification of a composite manufacturing line for space applications.
